Christmas Card & Letter 2012

Family & Friends,

It’s hard to believe 2012 has almost come to an end.  In 3 short months our babies will be two years old. Where does the time go?
The girls have grown and changed so much this year. They are talking like crazy & it is so fun to hear the new things they say every day. They are so fun right now. Their favorite thing to do lately is play hide & seek. It is hilarious to watch. We throw a blanket over them & as soon as they get out they will run to find us. When it is their turn to hide, they hide under the kitchen table every single time. And if it’s taking too long for us to “find” them they start giggling and pop out and shout, “Boo!” It’s hard to remember what our life was like before these two. They bring us so much joy!
Morley is hard to put into words. She has got a spitfire personality. She is a very independent little girl. She wants to do everything on her own and if things aren’t done her way, she throws a little fit. Her defiance is my challenge lately. She will look me in the eyes and do whatever it is I asked her not to do. She must have been given to me to teach me patience. She is also such a little sweetheart when she wants to be. She has a sensitive little heart and already we can see how much she cares for others. She gets so worried whenever anyone is sad or upset, no matter where we are or who it is. I love that about her. The girl has got so much energy. I don’t think she ever stops moving. She’s also dainty and very girly. She loves to dress up and have her hair done. And you should see the excitement when I ask if she wants her nails painted! Morley is such a polite little lady. She says, “Thank you!” when anyone does anything for her. And if we don’t say, “you’re welcome” fast enough, she’ll say it herself.
Wrigley has got such a goofy personality. She loves to be the center of attention and loves to make people laugh. She is very expressive (and sometimes very dramatic) and always keeps us laughing with the faces she makes & things she says & does. She is very sensitive and does not like to be told no. She will throw her hand over her mouth and burst into tears when we discipline her in any way. She loves her sister so so much and is always thinking of her and looking out for her. I love that and hope they will always be best friends. For the most part, she is a very helpful and obedient little girl. Wrigley is also my little cuddler. She’ll stop in the middle of playing to come give me a hug or just sit on my lap for a minute. Those are some of my favorite parts of the day. This girl has an obsession with shoes and clothes lately. She has just learned how to take her clothes off & put new ones on. I find her with different things on (or nothing on) all day long.
Jeff is still working for a reptile breeder in Spanish Fork & is loving it. He also has a little side business doing basically the same thing on his own. He is the main supplier for a few of the big pet stores around here. I’m not a big fan of reptiles but I’m glad he loves what he’s doing. He got called as the Cub Master in our ward a few months ago and is also loving that. And the boys love him!
I am still home with the girls & loving every second of it. I took a few classes this year that were needed to apply for nursing school & then applied this fall and got accepted to the program starting in January. I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember and am beyond excited to finally be doing it!
We are grateful for this wonderful time of year to celebrate the birth & life of our Savior. May the Lord bless you this Christmas season & in the coming year.

Love,                                                                                                                                                                                                 Jeff,  Megan, Wrigley & Morley
