20 Weeks

Picture at 20 weeks.

I was so excited in the last post to announce that we are having girls that I forgot to post about any of the other things we learned at our Perinatologist appointment.
She told us that the babies are most likely identical. She said there's no way to know 100% until the babies are out & they can test the placenta. If there is only one placenta, they are for sure identical. But sometimes two placentas will fuse together so on an ultrasound it looks like just one. In the very first ultrasound we had they could only see one placenta & she said they usually won't fuse together that early on, so most likely there is only one.
She also told us that 90% of twins come before the 36th week. So she said to take a month off of my due date & plan on the babies being here around then. Also, with twins, they won't let you go past 38 weeks...so that means, AT MOST, we have a little over 17 weeks left! They are going to be here before we know it!
I have been feeling them move around quite a bit more the last few days & I absolutely love it! It is the most amazing feeling in the world!
We have another ultrasound on Wednesday. I am so excited! I love that we get to have them so often. It's so fun to see our little girls & watch them wiggle around. I just lay there in awe, that those little people are growing inside of me! What an awesome experience!!

Brian & Cassie's Wedding

Brian & Cassie got married on Tuesday in the Salt Lake Temple.
The sealing was perfect!
As soon as we sat down in the sealing room I told Jeff I felt like crying. (I cry about everything these days.)
I loved being in there and remembering the covenants Jeff & I made on our wedding day.
The weather outside the Temple wasn't so perfect. It was cold & windy while we were taking pictures.

It started raining as soon as we got in our car to leave the Temple.
I felt so bad because Brian & Cass were still out there taking pictures.

The luncheon was at Tucanos, & then the reception was later on that night.

Look how cute this cake is!!

I kind of want to do the babies' room these colors....but I change my mind real often, so who knows.

I forgot to even take my camera out to take pictures at the reception until they were cutting the cake, so this is the only thing I have pictures of.
At least I got a good one of her smashing it in his face :)

It was such a perfect day & I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!
I'm so excited for Brian & Cassie & this new journey they are starting together!

It's a....??

We had our first Perinatologist appointment on Thursday. They did an ultrasound & she said everything looks really good! Yay :)
One of the babies is a little bit smaller than the other but she said it's not a big enough difference to worry too much at this point. She wants to keep a close eye on it though, so we have to go in for ultrasounds every 2 weeks!
Here are some pictures of our cute little babies at 19 weeks 1 day.

Little feet :)

The ultrasound tech asked if we wanted to know the sex of the babies. Yes, please!!

Baby A is a......

GIRL!!!

Baby B is a......

GIRL!!!

We are so excited to meet these 2 sweet little girls!
Jeff's feeling outnumbered & I am having so much fun shopping for pink :)

I bought these 2 plain white onesies at Old Navy.

Then I got some satin & organza fabric from Joann's to make these little flowers to put on them.

The bigger flowers are to put on headbands.

I think they turned out so cute! :)

Bridal Shower for Cass

My good friend, Cassie is getting married on Tuesday!!
Last week Aubrey & I threw her a little bridal shower.

We played a few games & had some dessert but mostly just had fun hanging out with friends. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time :)

We asked her a bunch of questions about Brian (her fiance) & every time she got one wrong, she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth.
She didn't do so hot :)

Present time!

Last night Brian was having a Bachelor Party so a few of us got together for a girls night. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner then went back to Aubrey's house & she did pink glitter toes for us for the wedding.

We told them Cass is getting married and she got to sit on the saddle :) They also gave us a free dessert!

My glitter toes :)
I'm so excited for the wedding on Tuesday & so happy for Brian & Cass!

Twins Update

Here is a picture at 18 weeks 3 days.

We had a Doctor's appointment on Wednesday and both heartbeats still sound good.
The Doctor measured my stomach & said I'm measuring at what someone having one baby should be at 22 weeks. That made me feel enormous! Especially since at our 16 week appointment he told me I was measuring small. About what someone at 16 weeks with one baby should be.
At 16 weeks, I had only gained 3 pounds total.
Now I have gained 8 total! 5 pounds in 2 weeks....YIKES!!

We have our first appointment with the Perinatologist next Thursday, where hopefully we will find out the sex of the babies!! I can't wait! I've been counting down the days :)

I found them!

I found the pictures from our Las Vegas trip.

On Saturday during the day we sat by the pool for a little bit.
It wasn't very warm. I was in sweats.

Later we went to the pawn shop from the TV show Pawn Stars!

This is the best picture we got of Garth Brooks because people were getting in trouble for taking pictures.

And just one more funny picture.
Our hotel room had 2 double beds. Mike & Matt shared one of them :)

October Happenings

I don't know why I've been such a blog slacker lately.
Here are some things we did in October.

Jeff turned 29 on the 11th.
We had my family & Nate, Caitlin & Mike over for cake & ice cream to celebrate.
My camera is broken so I took these pictures with Jeff's phone....that's why they suck.

Nate & Caitlin gave him diapers, wipes & a baby monitor! (He asked for all baby stuff for his birthday.)

Maggie holding cute little baby Dalton.

Saxon wanted to see some animals, so Jeff brought up this huge guy.

Saskia didn't want to have anything to do with the big snake, so Jeff brought up a baby one for her to hold.

We went back to the Doctor a week after he put me on bed rest & he upgraded me to "modified bed rest". We had been planning on going to Las Vegas for the PBR finals (well that's what I thought) the next weekend & he gave me permission to go if I took it easy.
I can't find the pictures I took in Vegas anywhere. I seriously don't know what happened to them, so when I find them, I will put them up.
I don't really remember if anyone told me we were going for the PBR or if I just assumed that because that's always why we go to Vegas this time of year...but we didn't go to that. We went to GARTH BROOKS!! I didn't know that's what we were doing until we drove to the Wynn hotel instead of the Thomas & Mack Center.
The show started at 10:30 on Saturday night and we didn't get out of there until around 1:30. I can't even explain to you how great it was! At one point, he brought out Trisha Yearwood & they sang a song together. That was my favorite part!
We didn't do much else while we were there because, well, I wasn't allowed to do much. But it was still totally worth the trip!

Melinda turned 17 on the 25th and we went to dinner at Brick Oven with my family, then went to my parents house for cake.

On Halloween we went over to my parents house to hang out. Jonathan & Julie brought the kids down to go trick-or-treating with Maggie.
Jeff & I walked with them for a little while. Benji was the cutest little puppy dog. At every house we went to he'd say, "I a puppy dog" or "Happy Halloween" with a really high squeaky voice on the "ween" part. Such a funny kid!
