Ice Cream

Two nights a month there is a rodeo up in Ogden that Jeff & Mike like to go to.
Every time I go with them, my allergies act up & I am miserable the whole time.
Last time I even took Benadryl before we went. Didn't work.
Last night they went & I decided to stay home.
Melinda came over & hung out with me.
We ate dinner at Taco Bell, then walked around the mall for a few hours.
We tried on sunglasses in one store for about an hour.
All the people in the store were glad to see us leave.
But we found some pretty sweet ones!
Melinda & I usually come up with some pretty brilliant ideas when we are together.
This one was in the top 10 ;)
We decided to each try & eat a whole tub of ice cream!
I got this far & threw up.
Melinda did awesome.
I think she totally could have finished, but after hearing me throw up she couldn't eat anymore.
Pretty sure it'll be a very long time before I'm in the mood for ice cream again.

This is Jordyn

(This picture was taken a few years ago at Temple Square)

I met Jordyn like 5 years ago when we both worked at Cold Stone.
We became good friends & moved in to an apartment at Parkway Crossing together in the summer of 2007.
One of the funnest summers of my life!
There was never a dull moment living with her :)
We are both married now & live less than 5 minutes from each other, but don't get together as often as we would like.
Today Jeff & I got to go see her & her new baby Mailey, who was born yesterday morning.

Isn't she a doll?!
Congratulations Justin & Jordyn! We're so happy for you!

BYU vs. UTAH

Tonight we went with Mike, Nate & Caitlin and the boys to the BYU gymnastics meet.

Saxon & Bridger in their "pirate hats"!

The beam and the floor were my favorite.

BYU didn't win, but we still had fun watching!

we are still alive....

This is what we've been up to...Some other stuff too, but mostly
PRISON BREAK!
I don't believe I have ever been so addicted to a TV show in my whole life.
I dream about the dang show every night.
It's so great.

Also, for about month now, I've been decorating cakes at Cold Stone a few mornings a week.
I used to work there like 3 years ago & always loved decorating cakes.
And (I'm not meaning for this to sound cocky at all) I'm pretty good at it!

Missionary Marsh

My little brother, Marshall's mission papers were turned in this week!
Wow! I can't believe he is even old enough to go on a mission.
He will be getting his call in the next couple weeks & I think I might cry a lot.
I'm so proud of him & the choice he is making to serve a mission.
He's going to be the best missionary ever!
But I am sure going to miss him like crazy!
In the last few years, we have become very close. He is one of my best friends.
It will be totally weird not having him around.
Anyways, my mom & I thought it would
be cool to make a mission blog for him where we will keep family members & friends updated
on his mission. We will also share letters, emails & pictures he sends home, so everyone who wants to will be able to read about what he's up to.
There's not much on it yet obviously, but here is the link....

Happy Valentine's Day

Friday morning I got a text from husband...
"Would you like to go on a Valentine's date with me tonight?
Dinner & a movie.
Your pick of place & movie!"
I picked California Pizza Kitchen
& When in Rome.
The movie had enough funny & enough cute
that we both enjoyed it!
Perfect date movie.
Our other Valentine celebration has to wait until
Wednesday because that's the soonest we could get an appointment
for a Couple's Massage!

Anniversary

This was waiting for me when I came home from work today :)
One year ago today Jeff asked me to marry him.
I can't believe it has been a whole year since we got engaged. It has definitely been one of the best years of my life! I feel so lucky to have found such a great guy who would do anything in the world to make me smile :) And who not only tells me he loves me everyday, but shows me.
I love you my Jeffy!

Idaho Weekend

We took a little road trip this last weekend to Boise, Idaho to attend my great Grandma's funeral. We arrived in Boise around 9:30 Friday night. We stayed at Marriott's Towne Place Suites & all had very nice rooms.
We had an extra bed, so Matthew slept in our room with us.

When Jeff & I got there, my family was all already there & in the pool. So we put on our suits & and went swimming!
After swimming we had to go find a McDonald's of course!

The hotel had breakfast for us in the morning, then we headed to the funeral chapel for the family prayer & the funeral.
It was a beautiful funeral & so neat to be able to hear so many great memories of Grandma Mary's life.
One of my extended family members (I think my grandma's cousin) is a photographer & took individual family pictures of everyone after the funeral.
This is all of us waiting for our turn.

My mom & her sisters.

My grandma & 4 of her 5 children.
After the funeral we went to the Stake Center for a luncheon.
We had fun hanging out & talking with family for a couple hours.

Jeff & I had thought about possibly doing a session at the Boise Temple after the luncheon, but when we got there the next session wasn't going to start for over an hour. So we walked around a little bit, took some pictures & then headed home.

It was a super quick trip, but I'm so glad we were able to go.
