Happy Halloween

I have a lot of posts that I need to catch up on but I really want to post about our fun day today.
But keep checking back because I will be posting the others before this post.

I love Halloween.
It was fun to take the girls trick-or-treating last year but they had no idea what was going on and didn't really enjoy it. This year I knew they would understand more and I wanted to make today so much fun for them.

We started the day by taking a walk over to Macey's to get some supplies. When we got back I stripped the girls down and put old t-shirts of mine on them. Then we went outside and I let the girls paint their pumpkins that they picked out at the pumpkin patch.

Look how focused they are :)

Morley eventually put down the paint brush and decided it would be easier to do with her hands.

As soon as they were done painting I carried them straight to the bath tub. Paint. Everywhere.

While the girls were napping I made Halloween shaped sugar cookies and when they woke up my Mom & Maggie came over to decorate them with us.
The girls decorated their cookies multiple times after licking the frosting and sprinkles off again & again. :)

We had a pumpkin shaped pizza for dinner and then got the girls ready to go trick-or-treating.

My little princesses.
Binkis and all ;)

We went around to a few houses in our ward first. The girls figured out the whole trick-or-treating thing real fast. As soon as a door would open, they would say, "trick-or-treat", hold up their buckets and then say, "thank you!" Cutest thing ever!  I didn't ever want to stop because it was so fun to watch them.
We drove up to my parents' house after a little bit to show off our princesses and do a little trick-or-treating with Maggie and a friend.
There was one house we went to that was so funny. Maggie and her friend knocked on the door and the guy that opened it told them he was going to skimp a little on candy because he was running out so he gave them each one piece. Then he saw the twins.
He said, "Oh! Okay I can't skimp on them, they are just too cute!" And he gave them like 5 pieces of candy each. I know how he feels, I have a hard time saying "no" to those cute faces sometimes too. ;)

We went back to my parents' house for a bit and let the girls have a few pieces of candy.
And they really enjoyed helping my mom pass out candy to the kids that came to the door.

We put their pumpkin pajamas on and they cuddled up with Grandpa to watch some basketball.

I would say it was a very good day :)

Happy Halloween!!

Hi Megan,

You don't know me, but we have a mutual friend on facebook. Just wanted to let you know that because my friend liked one of your instagram pics, it shows up on my feed. Not that I mind, your girls are adorable. However, it just so happens to be a nakey potty training picture. I think it's awfully cute, but I didn't know if you realized that strangers are seeing pics of your little ones without clothes on. I just discovered this and thought I would pass it on to you. ;)
