July Instagrams

It's a real blast to take the girls to the store by myself these days. They refuse to sit in the cart. They'd rather push it.

Patriotic Shaved Ice :)

Some more pictures from our 4th of July. Sorry for the repeats.

Elmo's batteries were dead for a while & I didn't miss him but apparently Wrigley did. When I put new batteries in him she was so happy & giggly. She gave him lots of hugs & carried him around all that day.

The girls have spent many days playing outside in their pool. And I have spent many days sitting on a chair watching them/studying.

Morley's funny faces.
Such a goof :)

The day before our Denver trip, Jeff took Wrigley with him to get the oil changed in my car. So Morley & I walked down to visit the horse that lives down the street.
She's seriously obsessed.

Ready for a long ride in the car!

We stopped at McDonald's in Grand Junction for dinner and I asked Jeff to watch the girls while I went to the bathroom. I came back & he said he lost them.
Can you find Morley?

The girls are always wanting me to wrap their dolls up in blankets but this day I was wrapping them up & they thought it was so funny!

All ready to play in the rain :)

Mike bought tickets to the American Idol concert to take a date but it ended up falling through so he gave Jeff & I the tickets. And he even watched the girls so we could go!
We sat in the 5th row & it was so much fun!

Jeff brought home a baby snake one day & the girls were obsessed. Yikes!

Any Bachelorette fans??
I met Jef from the Bachelorette at Costa Vida!! He was so nice. And he ended up being the one Emily picked!

The baby Jordan's that Mike gave the girls for Christmas (when I was still pregnant with them) finally fit!

Jeff was doing a little animal show for the Scouts in our ward one night and he borrowed Maggie's turtle for it. Wrigley couldn't get enough. (She's pointing to it's nose in the picture on the left.)
"Turtle" is one of my favorite words that she says.

Flowers from husband.

"Cheese!!"

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner one night & Wrigley really enjoyed the cinnamon butter! :)

Yogurtland date with Grandma.

We went shopping in Park City with my family one day.

 Shopping is hard work! ;)

Wrigley likes to "help" sister get down from her chair after lunch.

Fireworks on the 24th of July.
I thought the girls would love the sparklers but they didn't. They both wanted to touch the fire & were mad that we wouldn't let them.
They both loved the other fireworks though. As soon as one ended they were signing & saying, "more! more!"

The girls have loved having grandma watch them twice a week while I have been at school. She always has a yummy treat for them.

Wrigley brought one of Maggie's old dolls home last week & hasn't let it out of her sight since. She sleeps with it, eats with it & everything in between.

First tube ride behind the boat!
Morley giggled the whole time & Wrigley fell asleep.

The girls are getting curls in the back of their hair. Love it! I hope they stay!

I haven't found out my final grade in Anatomy yet, but I got an A- in Physiology! So so happy!

We went to this cool park in Saratoga Springs last week. It was seriously the coolest park. We will definitely be going back there.

Can you believe it's August?! I can't!

Denver Weekend

A few weekends ago my family was going to Denver to go to a few Colorado Rockies games & invited us to go with them.
Jeff got off work early on Friday & we headed out. I hadn't given the girls a nap that day yet, hoping they would sleep for a few hours in the car but after about an hour, they woke up.
They were unbelievably good in the car though. I was so worried about it & had brought so many activities & snacks to keep them entertained & they did so well.
We only stopped once on the way there, in Grand Junction for dinner. We let the girls run around & changed & put pajamas on them and they fell asleep around 8:00 and slept the rest of the way there.
We got to the hotel around 11:00 and ran into my dad & Maggie in the hall on the way to our room. We followed them to their room to say hi & then the girls were wide awake & ready to play.
We couldn't get them to go back to sleep until after 1:00 that night. It didn't help that the people right above us were having some crazy party & were so incredibly loud. I was ready to go up there & hit some people! ;)

The next day we had lunch at Qdoba in honor of Grandpa Scott & Grandma Jill! :)

Then we went downtown & did some shopping at 16th Street Mall.

We even got a ride in a pedicab! :)

My mom, Maggie & Melinda didn't want to go to another Rockies game on Saturday night so they offered to watch the girls so Jeff & I could go with my dad & Matthew.
They took the girls back to the hotel & the rest of us headed over to Coors Field.
It was such a beautiful night for a baseball game!

The only thing that kind of sucked about our seats were the girls sitting behind us. They were there for a bachelorette party & we and the whole rest of the stadium got to hear about their whole lives. They were so loud & obnoxious. I couldn't even believe some of the things they were talking about so loudly with so many people close by to hear. Thank goodness they left halfway through.

The next day we went to Sacrament Meeting at a ward nearby & then got checked out of the hotel.
The girls had so much fun at the hotel. My family's room was all the way at the other end of the hall & the girls loved running back & forth down the hall.

They also loved the elevator! We taught them to jump when we started going down & they still do it whenever we're in an elevator. :)

The drive home wasn't as fun as the way there but the girls still did pretty well. We stopped twice to eat & let them run around. They only napped for an hour again and then stayed awake until we got home at almost 9:00 that night.

Such a pretty drive!

The pictures don't do the scenery justice. It was gorgeous.
Fun trip. I don't know if I would do it again though. Too much driving in too little time.

4th of July

Finally!
We got a new laptop & I'm done with school for this semester so now hopefully I will be able to get all caught up on the blog.

I LOVE 4th of July.
It's my very favorite holiday.
We have been in Chicago over the 4th for the past 4 years so I was super excited to be home this year & take the girls to some of the things I always did around the 4th growing up.

The hot air balloon launch is one of my favorites. We went the morning of the 3rd. You have to get there real early to see them take off. We got there a little after 6:00 am and they were just starting.
The girls were so fascinated.
Wrigley kept pointing to the balloons & saying, "up!"

We ran into some friends who used to be in our ward. This is Lily who was in our primary class and has always loved the girls. She was so excited to see them!

That evening after Jeff got off work, we went to Freedom Days in downtown Provo.
We walked around and looked at all the booths and then shared a shake.
I was letting the girls eat the whipped cream off the top. :)

Then we found some grass and let the girls run around until my family got there. Then we walked through it all again with them.

Morley finds dirt wherever we go.

On the morning of the 4th we went to the parade in downtown Provo.
The girls were so good! And they really liked the parade. Every time a horse would go past Morley would start bouncing up & down on my lap and saying, "neigh, neigh!" The girl loves horses.

After the parade we took the girls home & gave them a nap.
In the evening we went to my parents' house for a bbq.
The girls still love my parents' trampoline.

For some reason, Morley thought we were saying a prayer so she folded her arms. When Wrigley saw her, she folded her arms too. They are always making me laugh.

Later we went back to Provo to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks from Kiwanis Park.
We got there early & played tennis until it got dark.
The girls had a blast chasing the tennis balls around.

The girls were a little nervous when the fireworks first started but then weren't real interested.
They just wanted to run around the park.

They fell right to sleep when we put them in the car after leaving the park.
It was a good day.
