Merry Christmas!

We had such a great Christmas this year!! I still can't believe that it has already come & gone!
We spent the night at my parents house on Christmas Eve.
We, of course, had to get some pictures of the girls in our Christmas socks from my mom! :)

Next year we will have 4 more little feet in Christmas socks! :)

Maggie usually wakes us all up pretty early on Christmas morning, but this year she let us sleep in a little bit. I did not sleep good at all on Christmas Eve. I don't normally sleep very good these days, but this was the worst night so far. I was awake around 6:30 & I kept expecting Maggie to come walking in any second to wake us up but she didn't until 8:30!

We got so spoiled this year! (Mostly it was the babies that were so spoiled!)
We got so many fun baby things!!
My parents bought us a car seat!

Mike made sure the babies are all set with Michael Jordan stuff!

Jeff got me this to put on my car :)

Baby skinny jeans. I'm in love!

Some cute little blankets from Jeff's parents!

And lots of clothes!

Jeff & I also got some things for us too :)
Jeff got new basketball shoes and some clothes.
I got some clothes also and a body pillow. It's amazing how much better I sleep with that thing!

We're so grateful for the Christmas season, to spend time with family & friends and celebrate the greatest gift of all, the birth of our Savior!
And since I never got around to sending out a Christmas card this year....
We love you all & hope you had a very Merry Christmas!!

25 Weeks

I promise we do other things besides going to doctors & ultrasounds. I've just been a slacker at blogging. One of these days I will get all caught up.
Yesterday we had another ultrasound with the Perinatologist. They only measure the babies every other time. So in two weeks they will again. This time was just a quick check of the fluid & heart rates. Everything is still looking great!!
We have another appointment in two weeks & then after that we only have to go in for ultrasounds every four weeks. I guess the chance of developing Twin-to-Twin goes way down after 26 weeks, so they won't need to watch us as closely. But starting at 32 weeks, we will have to go in every week for a non-stress test to make sure the babies heart rates are staying where they should be.
At our last ultrasound both babies heads were down. Now one is laying across the top of my stomach & one is across the bottom. They are still as wiggly as ever! Sometimes I will just lean back on the couch & watch my stomach moving around :) It makes me laugh.

Here are a few pictures of Baby B.

Baby A is facing my back so we couldn't see her face again, but we did get a picture of her cute little fingers this time.

And a picture of my belly at 25 weeks.

23 Weeks

We had 2 doctor's appointments on Wednesday. First we went to the Perinatologist in the morning for an ultrasound. They measured the babies and said everything looks good.
Baby A weighs 1 pound & Baby B weighs 1 pound 3 ounces.
They still see no sign of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, which is what they are watching us so closely for. That's great news!!
Every time we go in they have an ultrasound tech come in first & take all the measurements & check the heart rates. She is always so great & explains everything she is doing & shows us where everything is. Then the Doctor comes in and goes over everything with us again. I LOVE that they do everything twice so they for sure don't miss anything!
Both the tech & the doctor made multiple comments on how active the babies are!
They don't stop wiggling! I love it! :)
This week, Baby A didn't want us to see her face. She had her back to us the whole time & wouldn't turn around. So we only got a profile picture of Baby B this time.

She had her little hand up by her face the whole time. I kind of wonder if she was trying to suck on her fingers because she was making little sucking movements with her mouth. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! :)

In the afternoon we went to our OB.
He listened to the heartbeats again & then measured me.
I am measuring at 30 weeks already & have gained 19 pounds total.
I seriously feel like I'm so much bigger every day!
Less than 15 weeks left!

Harry Potter Party

The Monday before Thanksgiving, Caitlin & Nate threw a Harry Potter party for Mike's 31st birthday.
They put so much work in & everything turned out so perfect!

A few of the kids were dressed up in Harry Potter robes & had wands. They looked so cute!

After dinner we went to see
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
What a fun party!
Happy birthday Mike!

20 Weeks

Picture at 20 weeks.

I was so excited in the last post to announce that we are having girls that I forgot to post about any of the other things we learned at our Perinatologist appointment.
She told us that the babies are most likely identical. She said there's no way to know 100% until the babies are out & they can test the placenta. If there is only one placenta, they are for sure identical. But sometimes two placentas will fuse together so on an ultrasound it looks like just one. In the very first ultrasound we had they could only see one placenta & she said they usually won't fuse together that early on, so most likely there is only one.
She also told us that 90% of twins come before the 36th week. So she said to take a month off of my due date & plan on the babies being here around then. Also, with twins, they won't let you go past 38 weeks...so that means, AT MOST, we have a little over 17 weeks left! They are going to be here before we know it!
I have been feeling them move around quite a bit more the last few days & I absolutely love it! It is the most amazing feeling in the world!
We have another ultrasound on Wednesday. I am so excited! I love that we get to have them so often. It's so fun to see our little girls & watch them wiggle around. I just lay there in awe, that those little people are growing inside of me! What an awesome experience!!
